I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to The Nifty Files and introduce myself.

My name is Parrot. I collect interesting jokes, pictures, websites, and the like. Much of my collection involves pictures that I've taken while out and about. I often see interesting or funny things when I go out. When I do I take a picture. I file it all away under "Nifty".

Welcome to the newly re-designed and re-programmed Nifty Files website. The website has been down for quite some time. If you've been here before you may have noticed the mysterious disappearance.

What actually happened was that the website was hacked a couple of times. Afterwards I was reluctant to set it up once more until I'd pinpointed exactly where the security hole was. I decided that the site could use a redesign, and that I should drop many of the secondhand utilities I was using and code most of this from scratch.

I think I've fixed the security holes that existed before. I hope there are no big brand new ones that hackers will be able to easily take advantage of. In any case, It's taken a while, but I've finally gotten the website back up ...
